Our Heritage
Mineral Resources Development Company Limited (MRDC) is a 100% State-owned Company. It was incorporated under the Companies Act and was initially appointed as State Nominee to acquire the State's and Landowner equity interests in mining and petroleum projects.
However, with the recent changes, all State's equity has been transferred to Petromin PNG Holdings Limited leaving MRDC to entirely concentrate on Landowner equity interests in both mining and petroleum projects..
MRDC still is the nation's leading corporate entity and remains the single biggest custodian of the people's wealth from our rich natural resources.
