MRDC supports COCA COLA IPATAS CUP with K25,000

Mineral Resources Development Company today handed over K25,000 towards the hosting of the popular and growing Coca Cola Ipatas Cup. Commenting on the support by MRDC, Company External Affairs Manager Mr Imbi Tagune said the MRDC is happy to support the Coca Cola Ipatas Cup with our donation of K25,000. “The Coca Cola Ipatas Cup has promoted Rugby League amongst the many young people mainly in the Highlands region of Papua New Guinea and in other parts of the country,” Mr Tagune said.

“We hope the opportunity, harnessed by Enga Governor Peter Ipatas, supported by Coca Cola Amatil and supported by Mineral Resources Development Company Ltd gives hope to many young and aspiring rugby league fanatics throughout the country.” “We thank Governor Ipatas for his continued commitment over the years and as time moves on it must become a legacy for the ‘Action Governor”.

Mineral Resources Enga Ltd, a company managed by MRDC on behalf of the Porgera landowners and the Enga Provincial Government also donated K50,000 towards the Coca Cola Ipatas Cup bringing the total contribution by MRDC Group to K75,000.00.
